The mentorship program increases awareness, advocacy, and education among those with sickle cell /thalassemia disease/trait. The program promotes completion of high school education and attending a higher learning institute Anne Kathryn Taulbert Endowment for Sickle Cell Camp: Challenges living with sickle cell/thalassemia disease can be overwhelming mentally, socially, and physically for individuals and families. The Anna Kathryn Taulbert Endowment for Sickle Cell Camp provides therapeutic recreation for children and families living with chronic disease such as sickle cell disease/thalassemia. Connection 2 Education: This Scholarship Program is for individuals with sickle cell/thalassemia disease and support students and adult education. This program assists those entering college and sickle cell adults wanting to increase their education. The Support Assistance Programs: Provides emergency and non-emergency assistance. The program is designed to help elevate the outer stresses to families caused by disease crisis and build strong families by proving financial assistance and crisis management.
