Circle of Friends: Spring Into Health

Supporters of Families with Sickle Cell Disease invites you and your family to join us for Circle of Friends: Spring Into Health, a fun and educational community event designed to promote healthy living for individuals and families impacted by Sickle Cell Disease (SCD).

This family-friendly gathering combines nutrition education, community connection, and outdoor activities to support the health and well-being of SCD warriors and their families. Participants will learn practical tips for improving daily nutrition, maintaining hydration and energy, and preparing simple, family-friendly meals that support better health.

What You’ll Learn

During this event, families will receive helpful information about:

  • Healthy foods that support individuals living with Sickle Cell Disease

  • The importance of hydration and maintaining energy levels

  • Simple, family-friendly meal ideas

  • How proper nutrition can help prevent pain crises

Event Activities

In addition to the educational sessions, families can enjoy a variety of fun activities, including:

  • Easter Egg Hunt

  • Community Resource Information

Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to relax and enjoy the outdoor setting.
